Welcome to CDF Worx – where passion meets movement.
CDF Worx was founded by Caitlin Roper, an experienced dance teacher and studio manager with over 16 years of teaching experience in South Africa and abroad. With a deep love for dance and fitness, Caitlin created CDF Worx as a space where students of all ages and levels can discover the joy of movement, build confidence, and grow their skills.
At CDF Worx, we offer a wide variety of dance and fitness classes across Johannesburg. From Latin & Ballroom to Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Street Jazz and Wedding Dance. Our classes are designed to be both upbeat and vibrant, while still focusing on strong foundations and technique.
More than just a dance studio, CDF Worx is a community. We pride ourselves on creating an environment that is fun, supportive, and encouraging, while still providing professional instruction that helps each student reach their full potential. Whether you’re here to stay fit, explore a new hobby, or pursue dance more seriously, there’s a place for you with us.
Our goal is to nurture every student’s passion for dance, helping them develop not only as dancers but also as dedicated, confident individuals. For us, dance is more than movement, it’s therapy, expression, and joy.
Come dance with us, and discover how CDF Worx can inspire your journey.
~ Why Wait?
Don’t wait to start. Anytime is the right time at any level & any age.
~ Hold your head up high and don’t be afraid to be different
All classes are personalised and we work with you, you’re not just a number.
~ Be determined
You have to know that you want to dance as much as you have to breathe if you want to make something out of it. Whether it’s just for fun, exercise or to make a career out of it.
~ Don’t Give Up
When you dance, you need to be there for you, to improve whatever it is inside of you that draws you to dance. Build up your confidence, your skills, your concentration, your balance and core fitness.
~ Learn from your mistakes
There’s a saying that goes, “If you stumble, make it part of the dance” and the only way you can do this is in time with determination and hard work. This doesn’t mean 4 years of training, it just means having the confidence within yourself to take control and become the dance.
~ Realise what’s truly important
Through dance I have learned many things over time. One being my passion for dance and being surrounded by people with whom I love to share my dance knowledge with, and see the improvement within them. Not only through skills but confidence. Having the ability to take the dance one step further and seeing everyone melt into that moment of synergy and synchronicity with me. Energy is something I firmly believe in, and it’s not how high you can jump or how fast you can run, it’s about the vibe and the emotion you all share at that specific moment in time.
~ Where there’s a will there’s a way
As I teach and choreograph, depending on the class that I am in, I encourage everyone to bring their own style to the table. Nobody is born a dancer, but I’m there to guide you, to help you find your style, make it magic and help you own it! Whether it’s in a beautiful, elegant way, weird and wonderful or a sassy funky style, it’s moving to the music!
